December 1st 2008 Betws Primary Christmas Play 2007 Betws Primary School Festive Fun We are busy working creatively with the children of Betws Junior School in our village during this festive month, preparing for a Christmas concert to be held at the School on December 12th at 6pm.
November 29th 2008 Mountain Dew, Garw Valley The Art of Emotion (a Beacon Award Project) We are very pleased to announce that we have started The Art of Emotion, our new Beacon Award development programme. This innovative new project has been made possible thanks to receiving Beacon Award funding funding from The Arts Council of Wales.
November 16th 2008 HMP Parc Animation Getting By We have been working with young offenders at HMP Parc in Bridgend over the past few months, making a film as part of their induction programme.
November 12th 2008 Earth, Fire, Air Summerschemes 2009 Earth, Fire, Water, Air This Summer Arts and Environment project provided creative education for Children and Young People in Betws and the Garw Valley, using Community Arts to promote respect and understanding about the natural environment and awareness about the risks and impact of arson upon the environment and ecosystem.
November 1st 2008 Betws Choir Community Choir Project We have just started a new project in Betws village - a Community Choir - which is part of our new Top of the Mountain Community Arts project.
September 29th 2008 Alex Bowen Betws 2007 Beacon Award – Our Response Community Arts is about people's lives, and believing that everyone has the capacity to be creative, the right to experience creative opportunities, and the possibility of a life-changing experience as a result.
September 1st 2008 Back2Back Theatre Company Back2Back Theatre Company After the summer programme in the community, school workshops will soon be starting back with an exciting new project at Ynysawdre School with Back2Back Theatre Company.
September 1st 2008 Berwyn Centre Dance Workshop in Ogmore Vale Small Steps Last term the girls at the Berwyn Centre enjoyed creating movement inspired by the film High School Musical which they loved. The lively soundtrack from the film couldn't stop the children moving, and it was a joy to watch them.
September 1st 2008 Sardis Media Centre Betws Community Arts Workshops We are busy planning a programme of new local work in our village of Betws in the Garw Valley, thanks to funding from The Arts Council of Wales, The Rural Development Programme, and Bridgend County Borough Council.
