Community Choir Project

November 1 2008

Betws Choir

We have just started a new project in Betws village – a Community Choir – which is part of our new Top of the Mountain Community Arts project. We have been talking about this for some time and interest has been growing in the community, and on our first workshop we had over 15 people of all ages and abilities coming together to sing and have fun. This choir is open to anyone who is keen to join in and have a go at singing with a group of like-minded people. We all enjoy singing but we are not experienced and just enjoy trying out new songs and learning from our fabulous facilitator Laura who comes all the way from Cardiff to run the session.

Workshops are free and take place at St David’s Church in Betws at 6-8pm on Wednesdays. All ages welcome. Come and join us! Contact Paula on (01656) 729246 for more information.

This project is part-funded through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013 which is financed by the European Union and the Welsh Assembly Government.
