Betws Primary School Perform at the Wales Millennium Centre

June 10 2010

Betws Primary School Perform at the Wales Millennium Centre

After six weeks of hardcore practice working with Dance Worker Issie Lloyd, the hyped-up children from Betws Primary School were ready to perform an African related dance and drumming piece at the WMC. In order to feel and act every inch of the part, the performers dressed up in tribal clothing and accessories. They grabbed their home-made hand shakers using them whilst dancing through the audience to get everyone involved with the drumming and dancing, feeling every essence of the explosive atmosphere! It was inspiring to see many students and staff members from the Touch Trust Charity in the audience being creative and enjoying every second!

The dancers pumped out their moves on the stage, jumping, spinning and dodging whilst the drummers hit a variety of strong African beats! Following the drummers and dancers, came the Betws Community Choir led by Laura Bradshaw, who quite simply put the cherry on the cake! The audience and performers were singing and dancing in unison, the energy grew as everyone connected with one an other. What a wonderful day and experience! The children worked incredibly hard towards the event and it clearly showed in their performance qualities and energy levels!
