Getting On @ Bryntirion Comprehensive

July 6 2010

Jez leading a Getting On Workshop at Bryntirion Comprehensive

We have just completed another successful ‘Getting On’ programme for 7 Year 9 students at Bryntirion Comprehensive. Getting On is a 6 week OCN accredited course which looks at Self-Perception, Self-Confidence & Target Setting using drama games and exercises, forum theatre and role-play.

We were really impressed by the commitment and teamwork shown by all the participants over the six weeks. This was especially evident during the last week when each pupil set themselves a short term goal for improving either their behaviour or their interpersonal relationships in school. When they reported back on how they had done the following week, each pupil had made significant improvements and in some cases had managed to completely fulfil
their targets!

So, all in all a very successful programme with a great group of young lads who will hopefully continue to contribute positively in school life and go on to achieve their longer term goals.
