“My Cardiff” Film Now Online

July 1 2010

Cardiff Skyline

Valley and Vale Community Arts facilitated a one day workshop day with young people in Cardiff funded by the British Council as part of the ‘Open Cities’ project.

We explored creatively what “My Cardiff” means to the young people of Cardiff. 30 young people (15-18) from different areas of Cardiff came together on Wednesday the 16.9.2009 at the Old Library in Cardiff. A young dancer (Ffion Campell-Davies) was filmed at different landmarks around Cardiff to give an overview of the city.

Using animation, dance, poetry, music, video the individuals shared their experience of Cardiff. The finished  DVD has been send to partner cities.
