December 30th 2010 Alyson Evans Alyson Evans’ Leaving Blog It was in 2002, during my BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts, when I had first contact with Valley and Vale. I was in my second year when Deri and Del, the then drama workers came and introduced Community Arts and Forum Theatre to my class.
December 26th 2010 Sun Appearing over the mountian top Tomorrow is Another Day We have recently applied to Bridgend Community Safety Partnership Substance Misuse Action Team Slippage Fund for a new creative project called ‘Tomorrow is Another Day’, working with young people in the Bridgend Borough.
December 22nd 2010 Jess and Alex Locking My Reflections on the Locking Course I like dance because it makes me happy and sometimes it’s embarrassing but it is a funny kind of embarrassment. I had never heard of Locking until now, it’s a weird kind dancing but fun.
December 20th 2010 Y Bont Dance Workshop Ty Pen y Bont Dance Workshop This new Dance Disabilty group with Y Bont has been taking place at Nolton Church Hall in Bridgend. Some of the participants have been involved in dance work with us before, as part of the Split Level Dance Group, and others were new to it and hadn’t tried dance before.
December 16th 2010 Locking Workshop ‘Locking OCN Level Two’ Issie Lloyd’s Dance Blog I have taken a strong interest in the old school funk style 'Locking' since I completed the Locking Pioneers course with one of the original members of 'The Lockers' earlier this year. I adore the dance style as it is fun and funky!
December 7th 2010 Berwyn Centre Dance Group Magic Moments Our girls from the Berwyn Centre are dancing their socks off this month. We have been creating a fun Christmas Dance together and they are full of energy and really excited about the season. The theme of this project has been all about magic, and what magic means to us.
December 6th 2010 Mental Health Matters Dance Space to Be! (Mental Health Matters Dance Workshop) Valley and Vale Community Arts have been offering Dance/Movement and trust-based exercises at the Nolton Street Wellbeing Drop-in, Bridgend, for just over 2 years.
