Issie’s Ethiopian Visit Blog
So where do I begin? ... My visit to Addis Ababa was AMAZING! For the very short period I had there it felt like I’d had an eternity of experiences! Addis was filled with the most beautiful, warm, kind-hearted, passionate people. Everyone I met was incredibly welcoming and eager to learn every inch of what I had to offer.

‘Soul Fusion’ into Finals of Local Dance Competition
New Youth Dance Group ‘Soul Fusion’ have only been dancing with Valley and Vale Community Arts since mid January this year and have been working really hard on their moves with our Dance Development Worker Issie Lloyd and reaching the finals of a local Talent Search event this month.

Laura’s Singing Blog
This term I have been working with the Betws Community Choir and the residents at Dan y Mynydd Sheltered Accommodation unit in Blaengarw. Both projects had different aims and objectives but came together at the end of term at Dan y Mynydd for both groups in a joint sharing of what they had achieved through the term.

Barnardo’s Project Blog
Over the last few years we have been working in partnership with Barnardo’s Cymru on a range of film and arts projects that explore often difficult issues with young people that have been the victims of or may be at risk of grooming, sexual abuse, violence or damaging relationships.

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Dance Project Blog

International Women’s Day
To celebrate International Women's Day this year we are delighted to announce the launch of a year-long performance project for women. The project, called 'Llan', will explore mothers' experience of isolation and separation. It uses the metaphor of the home as a llan, which is the Welsh word, originally used to mean enclosure.

From Where I Stand on the Stage
We have just finished a three-week series of workshops at Bridgend College that explored aspects of identity and confidence. Working with second year Musical Theatre students, we were keen to explore the relationship between performance in every day life and performance on the stage.
