Green Arts

Our Green Arts project provides opportunities for people of all ages to create a deeper awareness of nature through creativity.

We aim to facilitate a deeper connection with both art and nature through environmentally-focussed creative activities. We work with children, young people and communities both indoors and outside in the natural environment, offering fun, creative learning opportunities.

August 19th, 2011 The Raven in the Trees - the battle Forest Arts Weekend Photo Gallery Valley and Vale Community Arts hosted a family weekend filled with outdoor creativity and local folklore. The families had great fun making fires, creating puppets, building dens, organising a battle, celebrating a wedding and diving into a cauldron!

March 21st, 2011 Aberthaw Power Station power flow chart Environmental Arts Project Sponsored by RWE npower We have been sponsored by RWE npower and Arts and Business Cymru to produce a DVD, seating and artwork for an outdoor classroom for their new education centre, ACE2, at Aberthaw Power Station in The Vale of Glamorgan.
August 19th, 2010 Summer Arts Project ‘The Magic Forest’ Summer Arts Project In The Magic Forest project in August children from Betws and the Garw Valley took part in lots of activities including making music, paper-making, designing t-shirts, dance and drama workshops, building an outdoor clay pizza oven with Cwm Tawell.
July 7th, 2010 Forest Arts 2010 The Living Classroom Today we had the last session of our Betws Primary School Forest Arts project. It was sad to feel that it would be the last time we would be working with that group. We looked at the bench we had made, had a small campfire and sang songs.
June 29th, 2010 Betws Primary School love Forest Arts If You Go Down to the Woods… Today at Forest Arts we had another great session. We've been working with the nurture group at Betws Primary for 15 sessions over the past two terms. One of the main aims of this project is to work long term, with really good child adult ratios and initiate real child-centred creative learning.
