Photography offers an accessible way for people to visually communicate themselves or their concerns to the wider world. Our photography department helps people take, process and display their own pictures, providing an alternative to images which are stereotyped, mass produced, or commercially led.

August 10th, 2011 Double Take Photo exhibition launch Exhibition Brings Ethiopia and Wales Together A unique photography exhibition entitled ‘Double Take’ will open on the 13th August 2011 at Oriel Canfas Gallery in Cardiff, showing the differences, but more importantly, the similarities, between Wales and Ethiopia.
July 15th, 2011 Happy 30th Birthday Valley and Vale! Celebrating Community Spirit The celebration was a culmination of a 2 year Betws-based project about rural identity called ‘Top of the Mountain’ as well as a 30 year Birthday Party for Valley and Vale Community Arts.
July 4th, 2011 Anniversary Street Party Our 30th Birthday and Top of the Mountain Celebration Well we had a full house (that is, marquee and chapel!) despite the rain at our 30th Birthday Party and Top of the Mountain celebration in Betws, so thanks for everyone that came, took part in the project, and all the lovely Valley and Vale team.
