From Judith Earnshaw, Administrator, 7 Corners, Abergavenny
‘Just a note to thank all at Valley and Vale who helped to make our production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ such a success.
Everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed it and gained a tremendous amount from the whole experience.
The young people who opted to take part in the filming of the project learnt a huge amount, not only in the actual filming but also the editing of the film and the support and encouragement they received from the Valley and Vale crew was greatly appreciated. Other young people taking part in the acting and other support roles for the event also benefitted greatly from an increase in confidence ad knowledge of what goes into such a production.
In addition the grant received from the Millennium Volunteer Fund helped to bring the project together and the ten volunteers supported by this learnt a lot about volunteering and working with other volunteer groups such as Cwmyoy Pantomime group, Pandy Youth Club and Abergavenny Gymnasts. This working together with other volunteer groups and the voluntary help received from many members of the local community demonstrated to these new volunteers what can be done through voluntary efforts.
The support of Valley and Vale Community Arts and Millennium Volunteers were invaluable in pushing the project forward and making the event happen.
Thank you and your staff again for all their help.’
